Partisan columnist Alessandro Capodimonte has called for Milan to unveil a new club crest in five years after the Italian champions’ first season in Serie A. “I would like to see the club in the shade of the Stadio Olimpico by then, in the colours of the ‘La Stampa’, ‘La San’ and ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’, ” Capodimo wrote on Twitter.
“La Scala would be a great start.”
Milan’s new crest would have the club’s colours and crest colours taken from the Italian flag, with the new logo emblazoned on the back.
“La Scala” is the new crest for Milan after it won the Serie A title in 2017-18, after taking the trophy in its first season.
The new crest is expected to be officially unveiled at the Milan’s home stadium on Wednesday (10 November).
It would be Milan’s first new crest since the club was founded in 1889.
