Tanning goggles were invented in the 18th century to keep the sun’s rays from reaching the skin of women and children.
However, it has since become a fashion statement for women to wear them in a bid to boost their tan, and it has helped women in the US shave thousands of dollars off their hair and get more bangs.
A lot of the time the benefit to women’s looks comes from the protective goggles, but now a new product from American cosmetics giant AHA, TanningGoggles, is helping women with their natural tanning.
Tanninggoggles is made by a company called the US-based Lush, and they offer a wide range of products from face masks to body treatments, from face creams to facial hair products.
But their new product, Tannergoggles, can also be used to help save money.
Lush CEO and co-founder John Levenson said the company wanted to help women find a healthier, happier life.
“Tanning goggles are a great way to look good in the sun,” Mr Levenston said.
“I think it’s a really smart, simple and easy way to help your skin get its natural tan and protect it from sun damage.”
He said a large number of women had bought the products as a form of self-expression.
“You can wear them and then, at home, you can take them off and get some sun protection.”
AHA has been working with Lush to develop Tannergs technology and hopes to sell the product to the general public soon.
“Tannergogs is the future,” Mr Lusk said.
He said the product had been a success and that it was hoped to eventually make it into the US market.
“It’s really a great, great, product for women and their families, and for their health,” he said.
Ms Mongeau said the glasses were an important part of her life and it was a great reminder of how much she loved her skin.
“When I look in the mirror, I get that sense of being beautiful, and I know I’m not beautiful just because I’m wearing the glasses, but because I look beautiful,” she said.
In a video interview with ABC News in 2016, Ms Mongau said that she was using the glasses every day, even in the morning.
“The first thing I look at when I wake up is the sun, I look into it, and the glasses protect me,” she explained.
“And it makes me feel so beautiful.”
What is tanning?
Tanned skin can have many different reasons, but there are two main types: natural and artificial.
Natural skin has not been dyed, sunbeds and lotions are often used, and hair is often dyed or bleached.
But artificial tanning involves applying chemicals to the skin, sometimes to the point where it looks unnatural.
It is thought to help restore a woman’s natural beauty and helps with her hair and skin tone.
According to the National Cancer Institute, between 15 to 20 per cent of women suffer from skin cancer every year.
In the US, around one in every five women suffers from melanoma, which can cause hair loss, loss of skin and a red, discoloured or discolouring complexion.
In 2015, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned women that using tanning gels could cause skin cancer.
The FDA advised against people applying tanning products in their hair, as the chemicals could damage the skin.
What are the side effects?
While some people will notice a tanning product’s effects on their skin, it is also possible to get tan lines or breakouts.
There are also side effects to using tannerglasses.
In 2018, a study by the Australian Cosmetic and Hospital Association (ACHA) found that about one in four women experienced severe skin irritation and allergic reactions to the product.
A 2014 study from the American Academy of Dermatology found that almost one in three women with a skin condition called rosacea, which includes eczema, had a skin reaction to a tan product.
The results of a study of 200 Australian women by Australian dermatologist and research scientist Professor Matthew Smith from the University of Sydney found that more than half of those who used a tannerglass had a reaction to it.
What do the science say?
There are currently no effective treatments for natural tan lines, but the Mayo Clinic suggests using the tan-blocker and a facial mask when it comes to treating the condition.
However dermatologists in the UK said that the product could cause allergic reactions in people with eczematous skin, which is caused by a type of allergy that is known as atopic dermatitis.
